Chapter 6, Part 3 is now available here on our website, via rss, on iTunes, and via Stitcher!

This was a tough fight, I think for the wrong reasons. It was a challenge numerically, but not necessarily tactically. Since we recorded this, I've been reading up on how to make encounters that are more... engaging? Remember, this is my first time as a DM. I'm just learning as I go. Also my first time on sound, and I'm still trying to get that workflow to a place where I can edit a double length episode (this one was cut down from over 3 hours) and not be up until 6AM the day it's due still working on it. Though I did figure out an issue that caused excruciatingly long load times when editing and exporting files, so that's a win I'll take. The resolution of Chapter 6 is gonna get all smushed into the introduction of Chapter 7. They're both each about a half hour, so combined they'll make for a regular sized episode. I figured that makes more sense than two 30 minute episodes. That's just silly. Anyway. Chapter 6, Part 2 is now available here on our website, via rss, on iTunes, and via Stitcher!

Had some crazy technical difficulties on this one. A note to audio editors - make sure all of your audio is synced up! One of the files was a different length and it wreaked havoc on my edit because I didn't notice until the final export. Anyway. Still figuring out the workflow for this, learning with every mistake, and hopefully improving. 

We hope enjoy the episode, and that you'll join us for the continuation of this grueling fight against the Northmen next week in Chapter 6, Part 3: Slog!

The Northmen

Chapter 6, Part 1 is now available here on our website, via rss, on iTunes, and via Stitcher!

So, once again we have a late release. In addition to the Easter weekend, this episode was actually cut down from about 2 and a half hours. And naturally, that was more editing that I needed to do. Normally, I cut out about 15 minutes of pauses, requests for people to get drinks, bathroom breaks, etc... but this was a big brawl, so there were a lot of rules questions. I left some in, because they're natural in the game. But you're listening because you want to know what happens, not to learn when you do or don't get to add your proficiency bonus to an athletics check, you dig? 
I'm hoping to get better about describing the combat as we go along as opposed to saying "this guy" or "I move here" because that's not great radio. We're all learning and growing, so I think it's just gonna take time. 

We hope you'll join us in the aftermath of this chaotic first fight with the Northmen next week in Chapter 6, Part 2!

Chapter 5 Part 3 is up!

I normally like to have the episodes ready to launch before the weekend so they will go live early Monday. This weekend was just busy, and I poorly managed my time, so I wasn't able to put the final touches on the episode until today. As a result, it went up later than usual. We will be back to bright and early Monday episode releases next week when we start chapter 6! Have a great week, and enjoy the new episode!

Chapter 5, Parts 1 & 2 are now available! Happy Birthday, Elly!

The new episodes of that fantasy adventure podcast that we do is available here on our website, via rss, and on iTunes.

That's right, in honor of Elly's Birthday, we're releasing an additional episode today. YAY ADVENTURE!!! We wouldn't have a podcast without Elly having the smarts to record our first session, so this is just a small way of saying thank you. 

Next week, we'll finish up Chapter 5; then we'll be moving on to Chapter 6! If all keeps going the way it is (and I can get into a groove doing this multi-track editing) then we should get through 2 full chapters this month. Fingers crossed!
