Mountain View W/ Marlowe (aka - Dailen’s Gift)
Dailen’s Letter -
Anise & Associates,
I hope this letter finds you well. I know you've been hard at work preparing for the attack which I said was going to happen today. While I've enjoyed watching you scramble, the point of this exercise was not, in fact, to test your combat prowess, nor prove to you that I'm a superior tactician. Rather, simply, for you to stay put. You see - I know how frustrating it can be when someone doesn't show up when they are supposed to. It's infuriating. It can derail months or even years of preparation. Since you've already mucked about in Feth'razaal's plans - on several occasions - It felt necessary to give you a task to keep you busy and out of our business for a few days. Between your tree transporting, plane-hopping, and the occasional warding enchantments down South; keeping track of you has been a challenge. But we are now, finally, back on schedule, mostly. As it turns out, detangling interwoven souls is not my specialty. Oh well, 2 out of 3 is more than enough to slap down any resistance we may encounter. Thank you for doing as your told, you've been a big help.
Since we last spoke, I've given quite a bit of thought to what you said about the innocent people of Camor, and I think you're right. They are just farmers and herbalists, not exactly an impressive target for a debut destruction. Something bigger - something dangerous would make more of a splash and send larger ripples throughout Taganas. As such, we've set our eyes on a larger force that seems to be making waves in the desert. The blood of Gruumsh will boil over the sands and baptize the survivors - reborn as Tannaruk. Servants of the True Queen. Their souls will sate her hunger and her will may grant them purpose. I'm so fucking excited, you guys.
As an extra special thank you for the perspective, I've included two gifts. First, the drawing. It's an artists rendering; but I promise you - in person, the view is something spectacular. Second, I'm giving you the oldest bust in our collection. It was my first cast, so it's a bit rough around the edges. It took some convincing to get Feth'razaal to part with it, but I've recently picked up a few more, so I want you to have this one. I hope you like it!
XOXO - Dailen
P.S. Rest assured. Camor will still burn, in due time.
